Experience one of Africa’s most iconic safari destinations at Maasai Mara National Reserve, a world-famous wildlife sanctuary covering approximately 1,510 square kilometers in southwestern Kenya. Bordering Serengeti National Park, the reserve forms part of the legendary Mara-Serengeti ecosystem, one of the richest wildlife regions on Earth.
The name “Mara” comes from the Maa language spoken by the Maasai people, meaning “spotted,” describing the savannah landscape dotted with acacia trees and shrubs.
The Maasai Mara is globally famous for The Great Migration, where more than 1.5 million wildebeest, zebras, and antelopes travel from the Serengeti into the Mara between July and October. One of the most dramatic wildlife spectacles occurs during the Mara River crossings, where massive herds must cross crocodile-infested waters.
The reserve is also one of the best places in Africa to see the Big Five — lions, leopards, elephants, buffaloes, and rhinos — along with cheetahs, giraffes, hippos, hyenas, and more than 450 bird species.
This four-day safari offers an unforgettable experience of wildlife viewing, breathtaking landscapes, and cultural interaction with the Maasai community.
