Experience the beauty of Lake Mburo National Park, Uganda’s smallest savannah national park located approximately 240 km west of Kampala. Covering about 370 square kilometers, the park is known for its rolling savannah landscapes, acacia woodlands, wetlands, and a chain of scenic lakes that create a unique wildlife habitat.
Lake Mburo National Park is especially famous for its large population of zebras and is often referred to as the “home of zebras” in Uganda. It is also the only national park in Uganda where visitors can see impalas and one of the few parks where elands, Africa’s largest antelope, roam freely.
The park is home to a variety of wildlife including giraffes, buffaloes, hippos, crocodiles, and several species of antelope such as topis and waterbucks. Although lions are absent, the park reportedly has a high concentration of leopards, which are often spotted during night game drives.
This four-day safari offers a relaxed and diverse wildlife experience with opportunities for game drives, walking safaris, boat cruises, and unique activities such as horseback riding through the savannah.
