Discover the extraordinary wilderness of Loisaba Conservancy, a 58,000-acre wildlife sanctuary and working ranch located in northern Laikipia. This stunning conservancy is one of Kenya’s most innovative conservation areas, combining wildlife protection, community development, and sustainable livestock ranching.
Loisaba serves as a crucial elephant migration corridor linking northern Kenya with other wildlife ecosystems. Visitors can experience spectacular wildlife encounters including the Big Five – lions, leopards, elephants, buffalo, and rhinos. In 2024 the conservancy became Kenya’s 17th official rhino sanctuary with the relocation of eastern black rhinos, and later introduced southern white rhinos in 2025.
Beyond traditional game drives, Loisaba offers unique safari experiences such as horse riding across the savannah, camel trekking, guided bush walks with Samburu and Maasai warriors, mountain biking, and conservation tours. Guests also have the opportunity to see rare species like Grevy’s zebras, reticulated giraffes, and African wild dogs.
A visit to Loisaba is more than a safari it’s an opportunity to support community-led conservation, where tourism revenue directly funds local education, healthcare, and infrastructure through the Loisaba Community Trust.
