Experience an unforgettable wildlife adventure at Ol Pejeta Conservancy, a 90,000-acre non-profit wildlife sanctuary located on the equator between the foothills of the Aberdare Range and Mount Kenya. Known worldwide for its groundbreaking conservation work, Ol Pejeta is one of Kenya’s most important wildlife destinations and a leading sanctuary for endangered species.
The conservancy is the largest black rhino sanctuary in East Africa, protecting more than 165 black rhinos, and is globally famous as the home of the last two remaining northern white rhinos on Earth Najin and Fatu. These rhinos live under 24-hour armed protection and symbolize global efforts to save endangered species.
Ol Pejeta is also the only place in Kenya where visitors can see rescued chimpanzees at the Sweetwaters Chimpanzee Sanctuary, a refuge established in partnership with the Jane Goodall Institute to protect chimpanzees rescued from illegal wildlife trade.
In addition to its conservation achievements, the conservancy hosts the Big Five — lions, leopards, elephants, buffaloes, and rhinos as well as cheetahs, giraffes, zebras, and hundreds of bird species. Visitors can also enjoy unique experiences such as lion tracking, night game drives, guided bush walks, and visits to the famous blind rhino Baraka.
