Experience a unique wildlife adventure at Nairobi National Park, the only national park in the world located within a capital city. Just 7 km from the center of Nairobi, this remarkable park offers visitors the rare opportunity to see wildlife roaming freely against a dramatic backdrop of modern city skyscrapers.
Established in 1946, Nairobi National Park covers approximately 117 square kilometers and is home to more than 100 mammal species and over 400 bird species. The park is especially famous for its role as a sanctuary for the endangered black rhinoceros, making it one of the best places in Kenya to see rhinos in their natural habitat.
Visitors can also encounter four members of the Big Five — lions, leopards, buffaloes, and rhinos, as well as giraffes, zebras, antelopes, and numerous bird species. Despite its proximity to the city, the park offers an authentic safari experience with vast grasslands, acacia bushlands, and scenic river valleys.
This four-day safari combines wildlife viewing, conservation history, nature walks, and cultural experiences, making it an ideal introduction to Kenya’s wildlife.
